Think of a doula as a birth companion (including to the birth partner!) who helps in these 4 realms: hands, head, heart, and voice. Doulas can assist with massage/rebozo techniques (hands), equip parents with knowledge about birth (head), provide comfort and reassurance (heart), and help advocate for birth preferences (voice).

I do not take insurance at this moment in time, but I am hoping to take medi-cal and Tricare very soon! I firmly believe that everyone should have access to a doula. If finances are a barrier, please reach out anyway! We can figure something out or I at the very least can point you to the right resources.
-
Absolutely! Everyone highly benefits from a doula whether you’re going in for a planned C-section or going fully unmedicated. I provide support in hospitals, home births, and birthing centers.
-
Of course! This is first and foremost you and your support person’s birth experience. My goal as a doula is to help both you and your support system feel fully present and involved in your experience. My support is intended to platform your partner’s strengths.
-
Call/text me whenever you think you might be going into labor and need my support! We’ll continuously communicate and decide together when it would be a good time for me to join you.
-
Because I am still transitioning out of my school day job, I will ensure to have reliable and trustworthy backup coverage ready for you!

I will attend births throughout San Diego County. However, please note that due to the nature of San Diego County traffic, the time it takes for me to get to you may fluctuate.

I understand that plans can change. Cancellation and refund details are outlined in your client agreement and depend on when the cancellation occurs. If unexpected circumstances arise, please reach out and we’ll discuss the best way forward together.
